December Birthdays 2010

December was a wonderful month of love and charity.  At Steven's request, we made sack lunches for the homeless for his birthday activity.  In the lunch was a Gatorade, water, sandwich, chips, carrots, orange, rice krispie treat, power bar and cookies.  Anne Marie and Karla decorated the brown paper bags while Steven and Dave made the PBJ's.  We then loaded 37 lunches and drove down to the shelter.  When we got home, we celebrated with Steven's favorite dish--chicken cordon bleu. 

For Dave's birthday, each family member donated the amount they would have spent on a birthday gift to a single sister and her family to help them with their Christmas. Karla was amazed at the generosity of the kids.  She said it made her Christmas to see the kids so willing to help another.
