Snow Fun

Over President's Day we went to Big Bear with the McLane Family.  They have a house up in Big Bear so it was very easy and convenient.

We left mid morning on Friday and arrived to beautiful fresh snow.  Tori Hawkett had never seen snow before so it was a pleasure to watch her play in the snow.  Everything was a marvel.

On the first day, Anne Marie and Tori made a snowman, snow angels and frolicked in the snow like puppies.

On Saturday morning we went to the toboggan hill. (Hunter had just recently had surgery on his knee for an injury from volleyball so no one was skiing.)  Steven, Anne, Tori and I rented tubs and rode the people mover up to the top of the mountain.  It was fun but the excitement was limited because of the flat slope and controlled paths.

We then went into town and of course Anne found a pair of jeans that she just had to have.  She did look cute in them and as she said, they were a good buy for her money about $49.00.

It was very cold and windy by the time we got out of the store and the others wanted to go home so we did.  Another storm arrived that night.  The sight was lovely!

We taught the McLane's how to play "King Corner", "Scum" and "Golf".  It was quite a riot to see how Gary and Cathy interacted with each other during the game.  It drove Gary crazy that Cathy had such beginners luck.  It was a fun and relaxing weekend.
